Well Control Practice is a mobile application aimed to allow oilfield engineers, supervisors and other personnel to practice the well control questions that are used by IADC, IWCF and other leading well control exam boards.

We, at ETM Data Limited strongly believe in creating oilfield utility apps that are straight to the point and can be trusted upon; with our ultimate goal to help oilfield personnel in their work duties. We charge a small amount because it takes a great deal of time and effort to create this accurate and essential well control practice mobile application for the oilfield.

The app is simple and fast to use with multiple choice answers and useful hints. The app contains the following well control categories:

- Basic Knowledge
- Basic Pressure
- Warning Signs & Shut In
- Shut In Conditions
- Volumes & MAASP
- Kill Methods
- Sub Sea
- Tricky Questions

Its a great tool for you to practice your well control knowledge, particularly if you have to take your IADC or IWCF exam.

Example questions are:

What is the approximate influx height if the gain is 25 bbl and the DC/OH Annular Capacity is .029 bbl/ft?

If a gas kick is taken in a horizontal well what would you expect SICP to read?

How many circulations are there in the Drillers Method?

How do you bring a pump up to speed for a kill operation on a surface stack?

If the fluid level fell 480 ft in a 9 5/8" 47 lbs/ft Casing with 12 ppg mud how much bottom hole hydrostatic pressure would be lost?

Sea water depth is 1000 ft and has a gradient of 0.455 psi/ft. The well depth is 2150 ft TVD from the rig floor with an air gap of 70 ft. Mud weight in the hole is 10.0 ppg. If the riser is removed from the well what would be the approximate reduction in BHP?
